Frequently Asked Questions About Furnace Repair

Find answers to the questions homeowners are always asking us below. Want to ask about your specific needs? Just contact us and speak with an expert.

How do I know my furnace needs to be repaired?

Common signs include uneven heating, rising energy bills, strange noises or smells, frequent cycling, or a furnace that won't turn on. If you notice any of these, book a service call before a small issue becomes a breakdown.

How much do furnace repairs cost?

Repair costs depend greatly on the type and age of your furnace, and the severity of the issue. Call us today for your no obligation, hassle free repair quote!

What can I do to prevent recurring repairs?

Regular maintenance is the key to a longer-lasting furnace. Our ModernCare membership includes annual tune-ups and priority service, giving you real cost savings by catching small problems before they turn into expensive repairs.

Are there any warranties on repair services?

We offer a 1 year warranty on parts and labour on our residential repair services.

Can I repair my furnace on my own?

Some tasks are easy to handle yourself, like replacing your furnace's air filter every few months. Anything involving gas lines, electrical components, or the heat exchanger should be left to licensed HVAC professionals for your safety and to protect your warranty.

What’s the difference between furnace repair and furnace maintenance?

Furnace maintenance involves regularly cleaning, tuning, and inspecting your furnace for peak performance and efficiency, while repairs fix specific problems or breakdowns. Routine furnace maintenance reduces how often you need repairs.

What kind of HVAC equipment do you work on?

Our technicians are trained to service all types of HVAC equipment, including high efficiency furnaces, heat pumps, and air cleaners.

Do you also service air conditioners?

Yes! In addition to heating systems, we provide air conditioner installation, repairs, and cooling services for complete year-round comfort.

Should I repair or replace my furnace?

If your furnace is over 15 years old, needs frequent repairs, or a repair costs close to half the price of a new unit, furnace replacement is often the smarter investment. We'll walk you through both options honestly so you can decide. Learn more about our furnace installation services.

Is a furnace problem ever an emergency?

Yes. A cracked heat exchanger or faulty venting can leak carbon monoxide, which is odourless and dangerous. If your CO alarm goes off or you smell gas, leave your home immediately and call 911 or your gas provider's emergency line. Once it's safe, call us for same-day emergency repair.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I just had a new furnace, and AC installed. The gentleman who did all the work, were very friendly, professional, and cleaned up after themselves very well. My experience from when they first came to my house to give me an estimate to now when it is finished. Has been easy and a pleasure. I would strongly, highly recommend this company. I even have them come back and clean all my ducks and air vents. They were not pushy in sales for any extras. I am very happy that I went with this company.
